The fire service community lost a fearless leader and a nonprofit lost a guiding hand on November 20, 2020. Winston L. Minor spent his time on earth being significant. He leaves many legacies, Troops to Firefighters among them. Chief Minor began his career with the Atlanta Fire Department in 1973. He rose to the rank of Fire Chief, and during his command, Chief Minor was highly regarded for his executive leadership ability in one of the nation's busiest fire departments. On a personal level, Chief Minor showed all of us through his optimism and work ethic how to keep the passion alive to make a difference in the lives of others, no matter how challenging the path forward may be.
